My name is Gilberto San, I’m a photographer, Brazilian, born in São Paulo, passionate about wildlife, nature and cultures. Through my lens, I mainly try to share emotions and beauties with strong expressiveness, giving my work a unique style.

My main focus is nature and culture photography, and naturally the human figure is an integral part, fully inserted in the context.

Often the wait for an image is long, and sometimes it doesn’t even happen, so you have to envision the scene, in search of light, composition and the perfect moment.

The feeling of accomplishment and reward happens when I manage to capture “the picture”, but the exercise of contemplation and respect needs to be constant. It enriches my experience as a photographer and as a person.

My photography is born out of the need to convey beauty, sensations, to leave a legacy and to tell the story.
